Book Club — Open Reading 🧁📖☕
Organizer: Nadie
Books are enjoyable, and sharing the world of books with others is even better. Come hang out with other book-loving kinksters!
About the session
The book club is meant to be an oasis for book-interested kinksters — a place to read books, talk about books, and share your appreciation for books with others who share that interest. This is a meetup without a specific theme or organized discussions, open for reading in peace and quiet or spontaneous conversations with other kinksters. You might choose to drop by because you find it hard to find peace to read at home, or because you know reading the discussion book might not happen otherwise, or perhaps you want to take the opportunity to read in the company of others in our community over a cup of coffee and some fika. You read whatever you like, and who knows — maybe you will find someone to discuss an interesting section of the book with, or give / get a good recommendation for a fiction book that "scratches the itch" for your specific kink? Would you like to join the meetups that feature discussion material to explore different themes and practices around BDSM together with others? At these meetups, we go through the text we agreed to read, discuss what we thought, and how each person relates to the "truth" presented by the author. Would you like to join? Sign up! Link: https://nawastudio.se/sv/events/26-27 The coffee is hot, the soft drinks are cold, and the fika is homemade. Drop by and enjoy the calm (or exciting) world of books. Would you like to share the content of the bookclub? Share what interests you through the form below! Link: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/u8pKvpEbZp
Practical information
- Entry 18.30-19.00.
- This is a social gathering, so conversation is welcome. However, it is also intended to be an opportunity to sit down and read for those who wish to. Please avoid loud conversations around those reading.
- Fika is available to buy and enjoy in the cafe, homemade. 🧁🍰🥧☕
- The premises are not accessible.
Rules
- We show respect and understanding for one another.
- All food and drinks remain in the cafe (the bar, the tables, and/or the sofa) for practical reasons — to avoid crumbs and stains on the mats in the rope rooms.
- YKINMKBYKIOK applies. We speak from our own experiences, and we respect that everyone has different experiences and dreams, and no one's reality is wrong for them. The goal of the book club is not for everyone to share the same opinions, but to discuss and reflect on different perspectives.
- We are here to learn from each other. Respectful questions are encouraged and met with kindness. Those with more knowledge on a topic encourage and assist those with less.
- All reading is reading — whether it is a physical book, an e-book, an audiobook, an AI podcast, or something else entirely. We do not judge how others consume literature.
