Shibar studio i in Gothenburg
Nawa Studio is Gothenburg's home for everything rope and shibari. The studio is located in Ringön and is a place where you can practice, explore, and meet others who share an interest in rope, body, and presence.
We host courses, workshops and open rope evenings with time for questions and for working at a calm pace. Whether you're a curious beginner or have been tying for years, we hope you'll find something here for you.

About the studio
The studio is in a workshop space at Ringön in Gothenburg. The idea stems from a wish to create a rope community in Gothenburg where both beginners and advanced rope practitioners feel welcome.

Events
Three upcoming dates. The full list with event is on the events page.

The book club for kinksters in Gothenburg is launching. Join fellow book enthusiasts to celebrate and see the venue. 🎈🎉

Direct booking
This evening we invite you to a lecture on safety in shibari, approaching the topic from two perspectives: the physiological and the psychological. Whether you are completely new to rope or have been tying for a while, you will leave with knowledge to carry with you in all your encounters with rope.

The space
A 60 square metre room with soft, carpeted flooring and hard points for suspension. Connected to the playroom is a floor work and landing room. In the space there's also a small café, toilets and a lounge area.
How we work
Everyone in the room decides over their own body and their own participation, at all times.
We talk through what is going to happen before it happens, and check in while it is happening.
Consent is given actively and can be withdrawn without explanation. A no ends the moment.
All participants must be 18 years or older. Identification may be checked.
Stay in touch
We send a short mail when new dates open, roughly once a month. You can also write to us directly with questions.
