We are trying out a new concept that already exists in many rope circles: an evening for troubleshooting and technique practice.

About the session

Troubleshoot Tuesday is for those who are already somewhat along in their rope journey and want to learn more. Is the tension always uneven in your single column tie? Do you have a new harness you want to practice and share with others? Do you want to get better at tying a futomomo? We do this together, starting each time from the needs present in the group. The event is for anyone who feels confident building a harness and wants to experiment more with others. There is also the opportunity to practice semi- and full suspensions. Please note that this is not a structured, teacher-led evening, but an evening focused on peer-to-peer learning.

Practical information

• —Doors open: 18:30 - 18:55. Arrive on time, as we close the door and start at 19:00.
• —Bring your own rope, safety shears, and anything else you might want to use when tying. Rope is also available to borrow, and occasionally available for purchase in our shop.
• —Photography is allowed in the venue, but ensure that everyone in the photo has given consent to both being photographed and any potential publication.
• —Talk to the crew before any suspension.
• —The venue is not accessible
• —Light refreshments are available for purchase on site
• —Restrooms and showers are available in the venue
• —A fully equipped kitchen is available

Rules

• —We base our practice on RACK (Risk Aware Consented Kink) when tying
• —We follow Nawa Studio's code of conduct
• —When tying, safety shears must always be nearby
• —No visible genitals in the venue
• —No open drink containers are allowed in the rope room
• —Before touching another person's body or belongings, ask for permission and accept a potential no without discussion.
• —Negotiation takes place before tying. We use safewords: red = stop and return to a neutral position, yellow = pause and communicate, green = everything is good/give me more. Let each other know during negotiation if you are unfamiliar with using safewords.
