A small and safe workshop for those who dream of being tied
About the session
Workshop for those who want to start being tied (rope model, bunny) and have not yet found their way into the rope community. Perhaps because you have not dared to? Perhaps because you think your body is not good enough because it does not look like the images circulating on social media? (It is good enough. Any body that longs for rope can be tied.) Because you feel you want to understand basic safety before letting someone tie you in a session? (Wise.) Or perhaps just to test if this is for you at all? Nawa Studio is run by people who love shibari and want Gothenburg's rope community to be large, safe, and welcoming. We have extensive experience and are happy to share it. This is what will happen: 1. Presentation of today's crew. 2. Put your dreams and/or thoughts about rope into words. And say them out loud. Conversations with other participants in small groups. 3. Introduction to consent. 4. Try being tied. And watch as others are tied. There is time to try with several different riggers so you can understand that there are different temperaments and styles. All riggers are switches and therefore also have experience from inside the ropes. There is also a very experienced bunny on site with whom you can reflect on your experience. (We will not try to fulfill your dreams, but we try to tie in ways that touch upon the beginning of them without becoming overly intimate. And none of us are doing this to pick up any of you. All we want is for you, before the day ends, to find a model/bunny buddy to have by your side when you start exploring the rope scene.) 5. A safe entry into the rope scene. We talk about the body in rope, consent, RACK, risks, aftercare, and the community. (Why is this point not first? Because you need something practical to relate to in order to understand.) 6. Reflect on your experiences together with one or a couple of other participants. (The course ends at 17:00, but there is no rush to leave the venue if you end up in a very interesting conversation.) Small group with complete focus on the rope model's needs and challenges. Come alone or together with a friend who has not dared to venture out to rope meets yet. Either. Tip: Give yourself the best possible start to your rope journey and follow up this day by registering for Consent with Prettodekadens on Wednesday, September 9. A warm welcome to the world of rope.
