Welcome to an open rope evening where we make the event into whatever we want it to be.

About the session

Open Rope Jam is an evening for everyone interested in rope and shibari. Come as you are and do whatever you feel like doing. We socialize based on mutual respect. Perhaps you want to experiment with a friend? You and your partner feel like having a nice session? Do you want to hang out on the sofa and talk rope? Meet and connect with new people? This evening is for you. BDSM play is permitted during the evening, but no visible genitals in the venue, and we avoid bodily fluids in the rope room. If you participated in the weekend workshop, you are welcome at no extra cost.

Practical information

• —Doors open: 18:30 - 20:00 Please arrive on time.
• —Bring your own rope, shears, and anything else you might want to use while tying. Rope is also available to borrow, and sometimes to buy in our shop.
• —Refreshments are available for purchase.
• —Taking photos in the venue is fine, but make sure everyone in the photo has given their consent.
• —Semi-suspension is permitted during the event.

Rules

• —We share the space with respect for one another.
• —Minimum dress code is underwear. Otherwise, there is no dress code.
• —No open drink containers are allowed in the rope room.
• —Before touching another person's body or belongings, ask for permission. Make sure to ask politely if you want to tie with someone or get tips on good solutions, and accept a possible No without discussion. Nobody is required to do anything, and tying or being tied is not a right.
• —Negotiation takes place before tying. We use safewords: red = stop and return to a neutral position, yellow = pause and communicate, green = all good/give me more. Let each other know during negotiation if you are unfamiliar with using safewords.
