Welcome to an open rope evening where we make the evening what we want it to be.

About the session

Open Rope Jam is an evening for everyone interested in rope and shibari. Come as you are and do what you feel like doing. We socialize with respect as our foundation. Perhaps you want to experiment with something together with an acquaintance? Are you and your partner looking forward to a nice session? Do you want to hang out on the sofa and talk about rope? Do you want to meet people and make new connections? This evening is for you. During the evening, BDSM play is permitted, but no visible genitals are allowed on the premises, and we avoid bodily fluids in the rope room. Drop-in from 17:30. The door is open; check in at the café when you arrive. You are welcome to join without registering in advance if the mood strikes.

Practical information

  • Drop-in from 17:30. The door is open; check in at the café when you arrive.
  • Bring your own rope, shears, and anything else you might want to use when tying. Ropes are also available to borrow, and sometimes to buy in our shop.
  • Refreshments are available for purchase.
  • Photography is allowed on the premises, but ensure that everyone in the photo has given their consent.

Rules

  • We share the space with respect for one another.
  • Minimum attire is underwear. Otherwise, there is no dress code.
  • No open drink containers are allowed in the rope room.
  • Before touching another person's body or belongings, we ask for permission. Be sure to ask politely and kindly if you want to tie with someone or get tips on good solutions, and accept a potential No without discussion. No one is obligated to do anything, and tying or being tied is not a right.
  • Negotiation takes place before we tie. We use safewords: red = stop and return to a neutral position, yellow = pause and communicate, green = all good/give me more. Inform each other during negotiation if you are unaccustomed to using safewords.
